Twice displaced, now in her eighties she inhabits the world of satellite Indian TV.
Having journeyed from a village in Gujrat to Kenya and then to Switzerland, where she settled since the early 1970s, the artist's mother, now in her eighties, hard of hearing and loosing sight, watches films and soaps on a satellite Indian TV.

Said Adrus
Said Adrus studied Visual Arts in Nottingham and London. He has been working as an artist and tutor for over 15 years, making videos, photos and installations. His most recent exhibition was held at The Lightbox gallery and museum in Woking, Surrey (March 2008).
Said works and lives between Bern, Switzerland and London, UK. Issues of Migration and Diaspora form a strong element in his research and Installations. His major Installation Pavilion Recaptured deals with the Muslim Burial Ground and the contributions made by Indian Soldiers in the British Army.
Films from the Pavilion project have been shown at Tate Britain, Nottingham Trent University and Southampton City Art Gallery & Museum over the last 2 years.
