Khaldoon Ahmed Britain

The Repentance of Nasuh
The words of a 19th century Urdu novelist resurrected on the streets of London.
The 19th century Urdu language of the novelist Nazir Ahmed is resurrected on the streets of London. The novel Taubat ul Nasuh is narrated by Tassawur Ali Khan, a rare descendant of an urban North Indian Islamic culture that no longer exists. The film evokes multiple layers of dislocation - of language, meaning, place, and time.
